How to Get There
By Air
Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (BLQ) The closest and most convenient airport is Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (BLQ). It is situated just 6 km from the city center.
To reach the city from the airport, the fastest option is the Marconi Express monorail. It runs every 7–15 minutes and connects the airport directly to Bologna Central Station in exactly 7 minutes. From the central station, you can follow the “By Public Transport” instructions to reach the venue.
Routes from Major European Cities Bologna is exceptionally well-connected across Europe. You can find direct daily flights from major international hubs, including:
- London (LHR, LGW, STN) via British Airways, Ryanair, and easyJet.
- Paris (CDG, ORY, BVA) via Air France and Ryanair.
- Frankfurt & Munich (FRA, MUC) via Lufthansa.
- Amsterdam (AMS) via KLM.
- Madrid & Barcelona (MAD, BCN) via Iberia, Vueling, and Ryanair.
Routes from the US & Intercontinental While there are limited direct flights from the US to Bologna, arriving is still very straightforward. We recommend two main options for intercontinental travelers:
- Connecting via a European Hub: The easiest route is to fly from the US to a major European hub (such as London LHR, Paris CDG, Frankfurt FRA, Munich MUC, or Amsterdam AMS) and take a short, direct connecting flight into Bologna (BLQ).
- Flying into Milan Malpensa (MXP): Many major US cities (including New York, Chicago, Miami, and Atlanta) offer direct flights into Milan Malpensa. From Malpensa Airport, you can take the Malpensa Express train to Milano Centrale station, and then transfer to a high-speed train (Frecciarossa or Italo) down to Bologna Central Station. The entire train journey from Milan’s airport to Bologna takes approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.
By Public Transport
From Bologna Central Station, take bus Line 25 and get off at the “Casoni” stop. Walk along Via Casoni until you reach the intersection with Via Stalingrado, then turn left onto Via Stalingrado.
Dalla Stazione Centrale di Bologna prendere l’autobus Linea 25, fermata Casoni. Percorrere via Casoni fino all’incrocio con via Stalingrado, poi svoltare a sinistra in via Stalingrado.
